Time for Everything

This week has been a reflective one for me as I go through a major transition – changing seasons. I knew what I had to do many months ago but I needed confirmation, the confirmation came and then I felt confused. I remember the line out of an earlier post that said, ‘you never know what lies on the other side until you open the door’. Well, I opened the door and stood glancing at both ends, move on or go back. I chose to move on, grateful that the process that led me to this point gave me more than it took away from me.

For everything, there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak.

Ecclesiastes 3:1‭-‬2‭, ‬4‭-‬7 NLT

This week, I feel like singing, Oh yes I do. God always gives me a song for each season that I go through. When I cry out to Him, He responds with a song.

Excerpt of Lyrics – Olorun Agbaye

You are Good, you are kind
You are more than these
I’m lost for words trying to describe you
Elohim, Elyon, Aleselewi
Your Greatness is all I see
There is nothing you cannot do
There’s no mountain you cannot move
If you have said it
Then you will do it
Cause You have a Track record
Of keeping your Word
And you’re not about
To stop doing it now….

Click to listen to “There was Jesus” by Zach Williams featuring Dolly Parton

Excerpt of Lyrics – There was Jesus

Every time I try to make it on my own
Every time I try to stand, I start to fall
And all those lonely roads that I have travelled on
There was Jesus

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I’ve been or where I’m going
Even when I didn’t know it
Or couldn’t see it
There was Jesus

These two songs have been on replay for me. What song has given you comfort as you go through the seasons of life? Feel free to share in the comment section below and let’s sing along with you

Note to Self – Through life’s changing seasons remember that He says, “I know the thought that I think towards you, thought of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope”. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Have a great week!

A lot of tracks. But albums from these: Maverick City Music (TRIBL), Hillsong, and Travis Greene has always been my go to places.
